The Alliance for American Quilts suggests the following quilt-related websites. Please note that this is not a recommended list, but instead is a suggested list. It consists of websites to which members of The Alliance's Board themselves frequently refer. The Alliance Board represents many different elements of the quilt world-quiltmakers, teachers, authors, scholars, business owners, designers, curators, folklorists, and professors-so their favorite sites are diverse and wide-ranging.

In early 2000, one search engine alone reported more than a quarter million quilt-related websites, with more being added every day. Obviously, no single organization can muster the people power to review and recommend quilt-related websites when the universe is not only enormous but is growing rapidly. However, many excellent websites are included on this list to get you started "quilt surfing!"
